Performing a clean boot in windows 2008

 Step 1: Start the System Configuration Utility


  1. Click Start in the Start Search box.

 Type msconfig, and then press ENTER.


 If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.


Click “Start”, go to “Run”, and type “msconfig” in the open box to start the System Configuration Utility.



Step 2:

  1. Click the Services tab, and then click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box and click Disable All(If it is not gray).



Step 3:

  1. Click the Startup tab, click Disable All and click OK.


2. When you are prompted, click Restart.

3. Restart your computer. When the “System Configuration Utility” window appears, please check the box and click “OK”  and try logging on.
